Dr. Annysue Emmons, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner and Certified Functional Weight Loss Consultant with more than a decade of medical experience. She’s worked in long-term care, home health, and cardiology, and now leads VIP Health Aesthetics and Functional Wellness in Lufkin, Texas, where she helps patients uncover the root cause behind stubborn weight loss, low energy, and metabolic imbalance through lab-guided, functional medicine care.

Annysue earned a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology at Houston Christian University in Houston, Texas, and stayed there to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She later attended Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, for her associate’s degree in Nursing, and subsequently earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

After several years in bedside nursing and management, Annysue earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a Board certified family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds additional certification as a Functional Weight Loss Consultant.

At VIP Health Aesthetics and Functional Wellness, Annysue prides herself on listening to her patients and compassionately answering their questions. She combines advanced lab testing, personalized protocols, and aesthetic treatments to help patients restore their energy, balance their metabolism, and feel like themselves again, both in person and through convenient telemedicine visits.

Outside the office, Annysue spends her free time traveling with her husband, Dr. Andre Emmons, EdD, and their two sons. She also enjoys a good romantic comedy and exploring new food spots.

Born and raised in Lufkin, Justin has over 13 years of healthcare experience and a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, personalized care to patients of all ages.

He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and his Associate Degree in Nursing from Angelina College. Certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Justin has a broad clinical background spanning family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and psychiatric care.
